During my 5-month skating break I was sorely tempted by an outdoor rink with rental skates, but resisted due to lack of helmets. The rinks get busy, but it's such a fun way to spend an afternoon. One of the many reasons I love living here.MERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15570776337490015343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-466093691926458332.post-63629295094476493262012-12-02T14:59:57.581-06:002012-12-02T14:59:57.581-06:00Mmm...let's see we are wearing shorts, it'...Mmm...let's see we are wearing shorts, it's 70 plus degrees. The best bit? The Hotel de Ville one is free if you have your own skates (€5 to hire skates)!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-466093691926458332.post-38471039124060324392012-12-02T10:27:29.330-06:002012-12-02T10:27:29.330-06:00Chicago's outdoor rinks are awesome if you go ...Chicago's outdoor rinks are awesome if you go to the right rink at the right time! I'm thinking those of us out here in the Southwest get a bit envious when we see large outdoor rinks; out this way we get tiny pop-up ponds over the holidays that are always too crowded.
